MECH: Age of Steel Anthology

Back in 2013 a little movie called Pacific Rim rekindled our love of giant monsters. It gave editor Nick Sharps an idea that grew to become Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters. Thanks to Kickstarter and Ragnarok Publications, Nick’s dream became reality, and a massive anthology was born. From early on, we've envisioned a companion anthology to Kaiju Rising, focused on the other half of the equation that made Pacific Rim so much fun—giant robots! And so, Ragnarok is proud to introduce this anthology by 25 of today's most talented storytellers. We give you...MECH: Age of Steel.

Along with the ebook versions of MECH: Age of Steel, at a certain stretch goal (see below), we are including two bonus novellas, one by Paul Genesse and another by Patrick M. Tracy, that tie into their co-written story in Kaiju Rising! Digital editions only.

Here is where we will post quick updates as the campaign progresses. We like to keep these at the top of the page so you don't have to scroll down to find them. Typically this section will be about goals met and stretch goals unlocked.

04.13.2016: Covers revealed! The "blue" cover is the regular edition. That's the one that will wrap the trade paperbacks, be the ebook cover, as well as be the eventual retail edition cover. The "red/pink" cover is our exclusive Kickstarter edition cover, available just in hardback and only here on Kickstarter.

FIRST DAY BACKERS will receive an advance ebook copy — or e-ARC* edition — of the first novel of a new series debuting in Fall 2016. The series is called Humanity 2.0 and book #1 is entitled Emergence. See our website page for more details.

Those of you who back MECH in the first 24 hours will receive Emergence (Humanity 2.0, #1) months in advance. It's a shared world concept set in a 'supers' or meta-human Earth, with tales from Edward M. Erdelac, C.T. Phipps, Eloise J. Knapp, Rob Hayes, Steve Diamond, and more.

* The Advance Reader Copy (ARC) is considered an unedited press copy; stories and contents are subject to change prior to retail release.
