Enough is enough
According to a Community Manager post on the Ubisoft forum, the exploit appears to have been addressed with an emergency hotfix.
Since the release of Tom Clancy's The Division, many bugs and exploits have been found, giving players who partake in them a near unbeatable advantage, especially during PvP encounters in the Dark Zone.
Now, things are reaching breaking point with the discovery of a new damage exploit allowing players to kill anything in the game, including other players, in just a few shots.
Using a specific High-End weapon talent called Competent and a bit of button bashing in the weapon inventory, players can deliver DPS (Damage Per Second) ranging in the Millions once a sticky bomb or first aid skill is activated. We tested this ourselves and our DPS went up by 100% from 100,000 to 1 Million, killing players in the Dark Zone very quickly.
At the time of writing, Ubisoft has yet to comment on fixing this game-breaking exploit, but this isn't the first high-profile bug that needed swatting.
First, there was a bug involving an High-End armor Talent called Rehabilitated, that would give players permanent health regen once hit by a smoke, shock or incendiary grenade. Then there was an exploit to break into the game's Incursion/Raid using the Portable Cover skill and defeat the boss with ease, rewarding exploiters with coveted Gear Set loot.
These bugs have now been addressed over the last few weeks with updates and hot fixes, but with a new exploit being discovered nearly every week, when will players finally say enough is enough?
