Boys Night-Debut Album

Hi, We’re Apollo Soul! Thank you for checking out our Kickstarter to help fund releasing our debut album, Boys Night.

By donating, you will help us pay for:

Boys Night is the amalgamation of four college boys:

We are currently UCLA Sophomores and recorded this project throughout our Freshmen year, experimenting with a purely instrumental lineup capturing a sonic crossroads of rock, jazz, hip hop, and other world music influences. The availability of classic instruments and equipment such as the Fender Rhodes gives us a unique, vintage quality matched with forays into contemporary music. Also, our dear friends and fellow UCLA musicians Jade Elliot, Hugo Shiboski, and Nicolo Scolieri are featured, providing contrasting timbres of saxophone and flute.

Our roots are based in playing three hour jams at Westwood parties, but we have branched out to play Los Angeles’ underground DIY shows to professional UCLA backed shows.

We have been blessed with the opportunity to open for Los Angeles Brainfeeder legends Thundercat and Teebs at UCLA’s Royce Hall in May 2015.

We participated in UCLA’s 29th Annual Jazz Reggae Festival in 2015 that has hosted The Roots, Erykah Badu, Black Uhuru, and Ziggy Marley in past years.

In September, we opened for fusion legends Snarky Puppy and Kneebody on campus.

We have performed with our incredibly gifted friends Villain Park and Hugh Augustine at Bananas in Leimert Park.

We have been blessed with many inspiring experiences, and hope for many more to come after releasing this album!
