All we knew about Legion's release is that it was going to happen after the Warcraft movie (i.e. the beginning of June) and any date before or/on September 21st. Now we know that it's going to be released on August 30!
Defenders of the Alliance and the Horde—a great and ancient enemy has set its sights on Azeroth once more, and soon the land will be consumed in a storm of fel fire. Starting on August 30, kingdoms will burn, heroes will fall, and the world will stand on the precipice of destruction with the launch of World of Warcraft: Legion!
All hellfire is about to break loose, so steel yourself for the return of the Burning Legion by pre-purchasing World of Warcraft: Legion digitally at www.wowlegion.com. Quite a few people are upset because the last content update before Legion happened 1 year and 2 months before the expansion's release. It's quite true that World of Warcraft is currently living one of its worst periods ever, with interest to the game being beyond minimal.
On the other hand, as someone who is in the Alpha, I can assure you that the game needs quite a lot of work at the moment. It's better to wait a bit and have everything at a perfect state once Legion is released. Moreover, Blizzard has never released any World of Warcraft title during the summer, which make sense since people (hopefully) have better things to do during this period. It's smart to have Legion released at the last day of summer. Unless you are a school or university student; then you are probably destined to skip class or miss an exam!
Do you think Legion is long overdue? Or you don't mind the wait?
