Night Dive Studios has revealed the first pre-alpha gameplay footage of its upcoming System Shock remaster.
The 2 minute video offers an early glimpse at the developer's vision for the remaster, who says that it's aiming to "keep the new game true to the classic experience" while updating the UI and visuals to modern day standards.
The game is being built for PC and Xbox One using Unity, with a crowd-funding Kickstarter campaign due to launch soon.
First released in 1994, System Shock is a first-person sci-fi horror that sees players exploring a space station controlled by an AI. The game was produced by Warren Spector, who later went on to direct Deus Ex. Back in January, Spector revealed that he had joined OtherSide Entertainment to work on System Shock 3.
A release date for the remaster has yet to be announced.
