Matt Smith and Caleb Denison have each been promoted to the newly created positon of Senior Editor. Both Smith, whose primary focus is computer technology, and Denison, a major driver in A/V and entertainment editorial, will help take Digital Trends into new product categories through up-to-the-minute news reporting and editing.
Additionally, Ryan Waniata and Brandon Widder have each been elevated to the role of Associate Editor. In these newly created positions, Waniata will help manage the site’s growing coverage of home theater, music, and movies, while Widder will take on an expanded role managing a team dedicated to guides, how-tos, and other service journalism.
Kaplan also announced that part-time writers Brendan Hesse and Will Nicol have joined the Digital Trends team full-time, effective immediately.
